Wow. I think this story is an amazing example of adapting to changing situations and taking steps to prevent catastrophe. Natural disasters and climate change are events beyond our scope of control. Usually victims of these events can find some sort of assistance through government aid. But from the given statistics, it seems that government aid (if any were provided) and/or foreign aid would not be enough to fund the impending disaster.
Does anyone know if there are other NGOs rooted around this cause? Or other research groups who are investigating ways to deal with this emerging situation?
